§ Subject Matter Expert on Overage Beer Process, 5S, SAP, WMS and Maintenance Troubleshooting.

§ Trained and acted as Logistics BPM for several weeks, creating production schedules for the Operations Department, coordinating beer volume with the Brewing Department and scheduling shipments with Corporate Transportation.

§ Worked with a group of three to design, fabricate and assemble a clutch system for the Super-Mileage Vehicle

§ Planned and organized a timeline of team objectives and met all priority tasks on or before the deadline

§ Machined several clutch components from engineering drawings using a Bridgeport Milling Machine

§ Collaborated with other groups, such as the Body and Engine teams, to combine clutch assembly into their designs

§ Placed 5th in the Society of Automotive Engineers Super-mileage competition in Marshall, Michigan, obtaining 843 mpg.

 

   Design and Analysis of Two Automobile Rims                                                           Fall 2010

§ Worked with a group of four to design two car rims, researched its interior and exterior properties, performed a finite element analysis, and redesigned the rims to improve durability as well as reduce material volume for cost reduction

§ Constructed the rim models based on two rims, one from a Volvo V70 and one from an Audi A6, in the group’s possession

§ Researched material properties, vehicle specifications, exterior forces and manufacturing processes to implement into our model analyses in ANSYS and Solidworks

§ Reduced 76.67 in³, about 20%, of material in our cost-based redesign of the Audi rim, which would have saved Audi $3.4 million in 2002 Audi A6 US sales

§ Reduced 7 in³ of material in our durability-based redesign of the Audi rim while increasing the safety factor by 2.33 and reducing maximum equivalent stress by over 100 psi

§ Presented our project in front of a class and our professor as well as composed our project in a 15-page report
